Overview
Guided in your language
This tour is led by a licensed local guide in any of six languages — chosen when you book.
Discover Santiago, the beating heart of Chile, on a private half-day city tour that weaves together history, culture, and natural beauty. With your own local guide and a separate driver, you’ll explore the capital at an unhurried pace — no crowds, no rush, just the real Santiago.
Ride the cable car up San Cristóbal Hill for a sweeping panorama of the city framed by the snow-capped Andes — one of the most striking views in South America. Wander the muralled streets of Bellavista and the café-lined lanes of Barrio Lastarria, where Santiago’s creative soul comes alive. Then step into the historic core: the Plaza de Armas, the neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral, and La Moneda Palace, the seat of Chile’s government.
Along the way, your guide brings the city’s past and present to life — from Chile’s colonial roots to how santiaguinos live today. With hotel pickup and drop-off included and tours available in up to six languages, it’s the perfect introduction to Chile’s capital.

Before you go
Good to know
What to bring
- Sunscreen, a hat or cap, and sunglasses — Santiago sits high and dry, and UV levels are strong most of the year
- Comfortable walking shoes
- A light layer, since mornings and evenings can turn cool even in summer
What to leave at your hotel
- Your passport. You will never be asked for it on this tour
- Expensive watches, jewellery, dangling earrings and visible necklaces
A note on the city
Santiago is a comfortable capital to walk, and the neighbourhoods on this route are busy and well trafficked. Like any large city, it rewards the same small habits you would use in Barcelona or Buenos Aires: keep your phone and wallet in a front pocket, and stay aware in crowded spots. In ten years of guiding, we have never had an incident.
